BOBRO Type 2 unit with the new CTM (Collapsing Triangle Mechanism) technology.

BOBRO designed a superior deployment and locking system. The Type 2 differs in that it is lower profile, more snag resistant, stronger, and can be deployed instantly without pressing any buttons or levers. Once deployed, the unit cannot be collapsed without Operator input. The lockup is rock solid without any movement, which we feel is the most important aspect.

The locking bar on the CTM mechanism has a conical interface that self compensates, eliminating any play via constant pressure.

The CTM system utilizes integral bushings throughout. The leg pivots are further braced by contact with the yoke on deployment, making the bipod extremely strong without adding any weight.

A provision to secure a pull loop is also designed into the system. BOBRO is using 550 (parachute) cord with a chemical and UV resistant flexible housing. The loop is optional, but greatly reduces deployment time. By inserting a finger, and pulling sharply rearwards, the bipod deploys and locks instantly.

We have retained the MCU as the attachment method. It is compatible with any 1913 specification rail without the use of any adaptors. BOBRO produces specific mounts for the M24/PSS style 2 sling stud, an Anshutz type rail, and M14/M1A compatible units.
